Where the cages are
Hyderabad's box cricket is spread across 54 neighbourhoods, but a few areas carry most of the weight. Madhapur alone has 11 listed cages, which is why it is also the most crowded on weekend nights. If you want a quieter booking, the north and the Secunderabad side are where the ratings are highest.

Read that table as a trade-off. Madhapur has the most choice and the lowest average rating. Kukatpally and Kondapur have fewer cages but all of them are good. If you live in between, pick on rating; if you live in Madhapur, use the ranking above rather than the nearest cage.
Playing after midnight
Thirty of Hyderabad's 83 cages are open 24 hours, far more than Pune, Mumbai or Nagpur. In this top 10 that means NexGen, AJ Cricket Club, AMY and GSS Lords. Late slots are usually priced at the evening rate, not higher, and are the easiest to get on a Saturday. Confirm on the phone that lights and a staff member will be there, and book the hour before yours if you can, because the team already in the cage will not leave early.
Before you book
- Ask whether the rate includes the ball and stumps, or whether you bring your own.
- Confirm the slot length. A "one hour" booking at some venues is 55 minutes to allow changeover.
- If you're more than six a side, ask for the bigger cage. Several of these venues run two cages of different sizes at different prices.
- Parking around Madhapur and Kondapur can be tight on weekend nights. Share cars or book slightly further out.
- Listed rates are the venue's own. Some discount for weekday mornings if you ask.
